i have now developed my fabric i want to used layered it up. Im at the point where i need to create more of my fabric so that i can start production of my garment next week. I also need to think about how i will get the skirt on and off. i feel i am update however it is going to take alot of time to make my fabric on such a big scale.

3rd year

My 2nd time working with my 3rd year. I did quite a bit today to help Katie. I started by designing swing tags on the illustrator which i have never used before. I design her name tri/ cycle. Also i design her name tags for garments. I then sewed press studs on her jacket and play suit. After that i sewed buttons on her shirt and also unpicked the waistline line on the pants. In the afternoon i then went in town again to buy more things she need fabric dye and necklaces needed for another photo shoot. I feel the work i did today has help her alot.
I also found out she bought her fabric from London and spent £600 but need to find out the suppliers name.

I have now chose my sample i want to use and develop. I have started looking at designs at how i can use my sample as part or the whole of my skirt. With the design i felt could work the best i have made a prototype to see if it would work. I like the idea however i want to develop my sample further and layer it up.

Working with 3rd year

Today i have been paired up with my 3rd year. I'm with a girl called Katie we seem to get on well. She is doing pathway B and designing a sportswear collection. I really like her work really different and all ties together really well. Firstly i had to go get her a few things from town that she needed for her collection. When i got back i learnt how to make pompoms that she could use to make necklaces for her photo shoot to show off her collection.

Now back after easter. After doing my research sheets and ending up with 6 big smaples i have made we now need to thinkin about how we could use to create a maxi skirt with. we need to design and develop a range of contemporary maxi skirts. This module will be different as what we will make at the end wont be a garment you would really wear.

Over Easter i need to start the next brief. We need to pick a word from each bubble then create samples relating back to them. I have chosen a complete change of form, structure, or substance, as transformation by magic or witchcraft for my definition. Fine art for my discipline and fuse for my technique.
