Technical Package

My Technical Package is to provide enough information for the manufacture to recreate my design correctly. These are a couple of pictures of what i put in my technical package.

Today ive started to toile my chosen design :-) rather stressful but nearly there!! woo exciting....

Final design

My chosen garment design a dress. It is a dress with side panels and a flared skirt with pleats. Short puffed sleeves with tucks, high neck line and a concealed zip down the centre back. It also has a waist band and two side pockets. The dress is made from 3 different 100% cotton fabrics with lining through out.

Start of my trend research... start thinking of SS11 and the key silhouettes. Used this information to develop and design my own garment a dress in this case.

Shop Report

I have started to do my research into different tailoring garments from shops across the high street. I love all the panel designs on dresses and skirt which i think i may developed and used in my design.

Feedback

Just had my tailoring feedback. Went really well he said there was nothing wrong and everything will help me in further modules. The only thing was my innovate lapel in my sample package didn't quite work like stated in my evaluation. So overall I'm happy.

My Vintage Garment

Xmas work

Back from my xmas break at home :-) i need to start my xmas work in for wednesday. I need to start a shop report looking at tailored garments in shops of each market levels. For instance lower, middle and upper market. I also need to find a vintage garment to help me with my research and source Spring Summer tailored fabric.
